With the upcoming changes in the federal government and the associated uncertainty, we cannot afford to wait. Caltech Postdocs and Graduate Student Workers need a strong, ratified contract NOW.
1. Caltech admin has not responded to our bargaining team's proposals on wage increases and has countered inadequately on healthcare.
2. They’re also resistant to giving international scholars paid leave for visa renewals and reimbursements for immigration-related costs.
Our bargaining team will soon send updates about next steps, but before it comes to a strike, Postdocs and GSWs need to exhaust all options. We have called on our elected officials, shared powerful stories in our communications, and over the past year, consistently shown up as a collective to build a Caltech for everyone.

Join the Last Chance Picket with your division for a two-hour shift, alongside one thousand Postdocs and GSWs from every building across Caltech AND Congresswoman Judy Chu. It's time to give the administration a preview of what a majority of us on strike could look.

There will be multiple picket locations set up by division across campus; stay tuned to learn where to go on January 28th starting at 10am!
