Across the UC system, over 40k researchers, educators, and public service professionals are fighting for the future of higher education and research against threats from the Trump administration through fair contracts. As Academic Student Employees, we are demanding that UC agree to:
- Fair and stable pay that keeps up with the rising cost of living
- Protections for international worker rights
- Ending arbitrary pay disparities between cohorts, departments, campuses, and job titles
- Real job security through year-long appointments and multi-year funding guarantees
- Protecting the quality of research and education
It’s time for UC administrators to choose a side: will they side with Trump or the workers who form the backbone of our university?
